Membership

Membership

Here are some of the benefits of Membership:

(Keep Scrolling Down for more Information)

The Bulletin

The Bulletin is published six times per year.  This award-winning journal is full of articles written by members, has a Question & Answer feature and keeps our Members up to date with developments in Australian Philately.

Meetings

Meetings in London have now been paused due to reduced attendance, however in their place full day meetings are being arranged at various venues. Refer to the meetings programme and The Bulletin for further details. Regular meetings are also held around our regional sections - South West in Ringwood and Wessex in Exeter/Pensilva (Liskeard) (at Cornex).

Publications

We publish specialised handbooks written by members with many years experience in their chosen field.  We also stock some other literature together with Society Ties and Scarves.  All items are for sale to Members at advantageous prices.

Auctions

Two to three times a year auctions are held with material covering all periods and collecting interests and catering for all levels of collectors.

The Packet

The Packet Superintendent regularly circulates books of stamps and postal history for all periods of Australian Philately at a range of prices to suit all pockets.  The Packet is only available to UK Members.

The Library

An extensive library of both traditional publications and specialist periodicals covering most areas for most periods are available for members to borrow.

Facebook Page

BSAP has a Facebook Page where Members from across the World come together to share new items, information and ask questions.  The Group is private and there are three simple questions to answer to become a member.  Most importantly Members must agree to the Group's rules.

Finally, the Society holds an Annual Convention in various locations around the country (the 2024 Convention is due to be held in Redditch, Worcestershire) where Members can see leading collections, exchange information and socialise.  Competitions are also held at the Annual Convention covering Traditional, Postal History, Postal Stationery and Open Classes.
